There are different steps for different scenarios:

  1. Member Contributions - If all of your Contributions to this open source project will be on behalf of the Member company for which you are employed (as an employee or contractor), all you need to do is send an email to Jon Ferraiolo <jferrai@us.ibm.com> that contains the following text. You should copy/paste the following text into an email message, substitute your name, email address (don't specify your SourceForge email address), SourceForge user name, and Member company name into the appropriate fields, and transmit the email:

    My name is <your-name>.
    My email address is <email-address>.
My SourceForge user name is <your-user-name>@users.sourceforge.net.
I am employed by the following organization: <company-name>.
I wish to become a Contributor to the OpenAjax Alliance open source project at SourceForge. My employer is a Member of OpenAjax Alliance. I confirm that all of my Contributions will be on behalf of my employer. I confirm my understanding that my employer has signed the OpenAjax Alliance Members Agreement, and thus has agreed to the OpenAjax Alliance IPR Policy that is contained in this agreement. I confirm that I will be the original author of all Contributions that I will be submitting.

Then await confirmation and acceptance from the project administrators.

  2. Non-Member Contributions - In all other cases, copy/paste the following text into a text editor, substitute your name, email address (don't specify your SourceForge email address), and SourceForge user name into the appropriate fields:

    My name is <your-name>.
    My email address is <email-address>.
My SourceForge user name is <your-user-name>@users.sourceforge.net.
I wish to become a Contributor to the OpenAjax Alliance open source project at SourceForge. All of my Contributions are on behalf of myself. I agree that my contributions are subject the OpenAjax Alliance IPR policy found at http://www.openajax.org/process/OpenAjax%20Alliance%20IPR%20Policy%2020060816.pdf. I confirm that I will be the original author of all Contributions that I will be submitting.

Then you need to do the following:

    1. print the message to create a hardcopy
    2. sign the hardcopy
    3. scan the hardcopy into image files or PDF and email the scanned images as attachments to Jon Ferraiolo <jferrai@us.ibm.com>
    4. conventional mail or express mail the signed hardcopy to Jon Ferraiolo, IBM, 4400 North First Street, San Jose, CA 95134 USA. (Note: for express delivery services such as FedEx, the phone number for +1-408-956-2413.)

Then await confirmation and acceptance from the project administrators.
